DNP Capstone Proposal

I am uploading my DNP Prospectus and accompanying documents, most importantly the DNP Proposal Checklist. The proposal should follow this checklist as instructed without diversion. My chair’s comments to developing the proposal are as follows:

Hello, congratulations on having your Prospectus approved. It is time now to begin to write your proposal. You can use what you have written in your prospectus as a beginning.

I have attached the documents listed below and other resources to help you with this next step. Please take your time and be sure everything in your proposal is aligned with the DNP template, checklist, and Staff Education Manual. The proposal is an important document that sets the stage for the actual implementation of your project. Think of it as a blueprint. Documents attached:

the Program Director’s review. You can see her comments and suggestions
the DNP template. You need to complete Sections 1, 2, and 3. There are very specific suggestions in the template for what each section should contain. You can use what you have written in the prospectus as a beginning
The DNP proposal checklist. When your proposal has been completed and approved by your committee to upload, this checklist must be filled out with the page #s as indicated and uploaded as well. You must state in the appropriate spaces whether the comments made by your committee on your proposal were addressed. It can be as simple as ‘all substantive and editorial comments were addressed’.
the form and style guide. This is your guide to the use of APA 7 in your proposal.
The Staff Education Manual. You must address the criteria in this manual in our proposal.

There are other resources on the DNP project site that may be useful to you. You can access those here:

As well, if you need assistance with writing, please contact the Writing Center. They are very helpful in getting proposals into shape and will review your paper. You can access their site here:

Please write as per the checklist outline, instructions and headings. Feel free, as mentioned, to use sections of the prospectus in writng.
